admin I’ve been told over and over – you should totally start a blog. I have mixed feelings, because not everyone understands my humor and I’m not sure it will come through on paper like it does in person. At least in person I can see I took sarcasm a step too far and I can incessantly apologize until I feel that I’ve atoned for the sin and then like any good people pleaser go home and worry about it later.
I started writing a Christmas letter decades ago when David and I were first married and I truly do look forward to it each year. It’s just as much for me as it is for everyone else. I feel like if I write it down then it’s somewhere to stay – not just left to my ever-slipping memory. I think that’s why I’ve always felt such a connection to pictures as well because it’s the same way. It’s my way of freezing time – – if only for a moment.
I haven’t a clue where this will take me or if anyone will actually read it. In today’s world of Instagram reels and Tik Toks I’m not sure I can keep anyone’s attention long enough to actually do more than just skim or swipe but it’s worth a shot. If nothing else it can be an outlet for me, a place to log my thoughts and freeze time….
